Condolence meet in respect of Late Sh Hiro T Rai on 11.07.24<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today we gather here for a solemn occasion, an occasion where we condole the passing away of someone who was a dear friend to many present here, a guide to budding & young professionals and a very competent fellow counsel.<\/p>\n

Sh Hiro T Rai was an exceptional member of the tax fraternity, having given his services as the President of the Bar association too. He immensely contributed to the field of taxation and law, to the Tribunal, to his own profession and towards the society as a whole. I personally never got a chance to argue in any matter where he was appearing but I am sure those who got that opportunity, would have taken away good professional and life lessons from their interactions with him. While going through the list of important cases where he appeared, one can very well see the variety of cases that he handled, whether it was international taxation matters, Transfer pricing matter or matters of celebrity like Mr Shah rukh khan. One can see that he was in total control of his subject.<\/p>\n

I convey my deepest condolences on behalf of the income tax department to all the friends & dear ones of Sh Hiro T Rai and pray for peace and strength to the entire family !<\/p>\n
