Assessee-company running hotels and restaurants claimed deduction under section 80IC. Assessing Officer disallowed said deduction. On appeal, the Tribunal allowed the deduction. Assessing Officer passed an appeal-effect order granting the deduction. Revenue thereafter filed a miscellaneous application under section 254 before Tribunal alleging assessee did not qualify as eco-tourism project and issue had not been decided on merits. Tribunal dismissed the application. Subsequently, the Assessing Officer invoked section 154 and passed a rectification order withdrawing the deduction. On writ, the Court held that\u00a0\u00a0 Judicial discipline requires decorum known to law, which warrants that appellate directions should be followed in the hierarchical system by Courts\/quasi-judicial authorities, which exist in this country. Court held that it is, therefore, necessary for each lower tier to accept the decision of the higher tier.
