Suppose X purchased a flat at a certain price which is subject to TDS. Flat is fully furnished and cost includes furnishing and interior cost. In the sales deed it is clearly mentioned that this is the value of property and this is the value of interior and other furnishings. Can TDS and stamp duty be paid taking only the property value in consideration. It means, leaving aside the interior portion can TDS be deducted?
