Sec 54F -- Application of LTCG Funds by the Assessee

Hello,

Could the LTCG funds that are realized from the sale of property "A" which is on wife's name only be used by the assessee (wife) to construct a new house ( an additional floor) on the property "B" which is registered on husband's name only.

Property "A" includes only one Residential Plot only Wife's name.

Property "B" includes  one Residential Plot with the Ground Floor under construction and having G+ 2 Municipal permission. The plot B and Municipal permissions for the G+2 are ALL under husband's name only.
