Tax Bar Files Writ Petition Reg Non-Appointment Of Core ITAT Admin Staff By Govt

The Tax Bar has been vigorously following up on the issue of non-appointment by the Government of Assistant Registrars and Deputy Registrars to the Tribunal since the year 2004.

Detailed representations have been made to the Hon’ble Ministry of Law and Justice in June 2018.

However, the apathy of the Government towards the welfare of the ITAT has continued unabated.

Accordingly, the AIFTP has filed a Writ petition bearing W.P. No. 2873 of 2018 in the Hon’ble Bombay High court challenging the apathy of the Government.

The Petition is expected to come up for admission before Hon’ble Justice Shri. R. M. Savant and Hon’ble Justice Shri.Nitin W. Sambre on 22nd October 2018.
