C. Mody<\/strong>, the Chairman of the CBDT, gave her a &#8220;<em>shocking directive<\/em>&#8221; to bury a &#8220;<em>sensitive case<\/em>&#8220;. <\/p>\n<p>Alka Tyagi, an IRS officer of the 1984 batch, has also <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/cbdt-pramod-chandra-mody-alka-tyagi-cbdt-6054332\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">alleged<\/a> that an old vigilance case against her, which Mody had himself later disposed of and in which she was given an all-clear, was recalled by Mody and is being used as a \u201c<em>weapon of blackmail<\/em>\u201d to stall her posting.  <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ckhWxmq1zdk\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/news\/india\/tax-official-who-made-sensational-allegations-against-cbdt-chief-gets-promoted-11570538918486.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">press report<\/a>, Alka Tyagi handled several high-profile assessment cases.
