The Government has appointed a new President in an officiating capacity. <\/p>\n<p>Hon\u2019ble Justice (Retd) Dev Darshan Sud retired from the post of President of the ITAT on 17th February 2017. <\/p>\n<p>To mark the occasion, the ITAT organized a Full Court farewell function on 17th February 2017. <\/p>\n<p>The function was attended by the present and former Members of the ITAT, Advocates, Chartered accountants and Departmental Representatives. <\/p>\n<p>Amongst the dignitaries present were Vice-Presidents Hon\u2019ble Shri. G. D. Agarwal and Hon\u2019ble Shri  D. Manmohan, Ms. Arati Vissanji, President of the ITAT Bar Association, Shri. Dinesh Vyas<\/p><\/div>\n<h3> Appointment of new President in officiating capacity <\/h3>\n<p>The Government has appointed Hon\u2019ble Shri G.D. Agrawal, Vice President, to take charge as the officiating President of the ITAT.<\/p>\n<p>Hon\u2019ble Shri G.D. Agrawal is a Chartered Accountant (FCA). He was in practice for about 15 years before being elevated to the Bench in May 1994. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5rtxEJsztik?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<em>(Hon\u2019ble G.
