Assessee received an unsecured loan. The loan was routed through banking channels, interest was paid (TDS deducted), and the loan was repaid with interest in the next financial year. The director of the lender firm confirmed the loan. The AO treated the loan as bogus, doubting the creditworthiness and genuineness. Tribunal deleted the addition. On appeal, the High Court held that the Assessee satisfied the triple test of establishing the identity, genuineness and creditworthiness. Order of the Tribunal affirmed. (AY. 2014-15)
