Form 2 of DTVSV issued on 17th Feb not received on mail. Assessee downloaded the same from portal on 23rd March & Filed form 3 & paid the amount on 29th March. Received DTVSV rejection order on 1st April. Is this correct. Can the assessee file an appeal against the DTVSV Rejection ??
It appears the rejection order is based on the assumption that the payment is after 15 days of February 17. However, this would be wrong as as the time limit for payment is 15 days from the date of receipt (March 23).
An appeal cannot be filed against the rejection order. However, a writ petition can be filed in the High Court.
