It was held that the registration of properties in Mumbai, which were situated in Ranchi, was in utter violation of Section 30 of the Indian Registration Act 1908 as amended by Bihar Amended Act, 1991. By virtue of this amendment in Indian Registration Act, 1908, the documents of sale or transfer of the properties must be registered at the place where the immovable property is situated.
