Tax professionals expressed regret at the fact that a forthright and popular judge in the Bombay High Court resigned after being transferred during the process of elevation as Chief Justice of another Court

The Bombay High Court has conferred the prestigious designation of ‘Senior Advocate’ upon 22 advocates in recognition of their contribution to the development of law and justice. The list includes a well know Tax Advocate.

We are pleased to report that the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 22nd January, 2020, has approved the proposal for elevation of an Advocate as Judge of the Bombay High Court

Constitution Of Bombay High Court’s Tax Bench w.e.f. 04.11.2019

The CBDT has vide Circular No. 17/2019 dated 8th August 2019 further enhanced the monetary limits for filing of appeals by the Department before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), High Courts and SLPs/appeals before Supreme Court
