The CBDT has vide letter dated 31.07.2013 stated that special counters have been opened for acceptance of returns on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate taxpayers.

dear sir,
why extention,even if it is postponed by one year the attitude of the tax payers will not change they come in the last hour.More over the TDS mis match is a big problem for filing the returns,insted of extenstion the Income Tax Department should work all the 365 days and not seasonal like March, July and September.
