The ITAT has issued a directive dated 17th September 2020 stating that as several court functioning days of the ITAT have been lost in the year 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic situation and the nation-wide lockdown, the remaining period of the bench non-sitting days during the Calendar year 2020 may be treated as cancelled with immediate effect.

Kind attention is invited to the Head Office D.O. under reference.All benches of ITAT were informed the schedule of non sitting days of the
Benches of ITAT during the Calendar year 2020.Due to the ongoing pandemic situation and the nation-wide lockdown declared by the Govt. of India and the local State Governments during the past 6-7 months, several court functioning days of ITAT have been lost in this year, hence the remaining period of the bench non-sitting days during the Calendar year 2020 may be treated as cancelled with immediate- effect.
Assistant Registrar is therefore requested to take appropriate action on the directions of the Vice-President of the zone and send the compliance report accordingly.
This issues with the approval of the Hon’ble President.
