Vide order dated 22.3.2011 passed in pursuance of the consultation of the collegium of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal consisting of the President and two senior-most Vice Presidents, Shri S.V. Mehrotra, Accountant Member, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai Bench, Mumbai has been transferred, in public interest, in the same capacity to the Bench of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal at Kolkata with effect from the forenoon of 18th April, 2011.
We wish the Hon’ble Member good luck in his new posting.

One is at a loss to know, as to what the words -‘in public interest’ seek to, in the given context, specially convey !
