Congratulation to Honourable ITAT on Diamond Jubilee celebration going to be held on 24th & 25th january,2016 at New Delhi.

  3. congrats. I have to say one thing our level of jurisprudence is yet to be some what equal to the UK if not that of the USA.

Lawmakers make laws hap hazardly as usual. Courts have to mend them by the due judicial review a power in your hands.

nothing duplicate, just understand we have to tell the politicians in the face. if you are afraid it is upto you what you would do my observation. i would certainly write in the national newspaper to speak on behalf of the citizens of india

simply having a bramhmastaram like the constitution of india if courts do not really take on the irrelevancy of statutes, irrelevant statutes would just go on increasing.

i find in my 45 years of law practice i am not convinced whether do we have material worth to be called as Halsbury Laws of India but yet when i read these volumes i fell very badly disappointed sirs.

Reason might be we do not have so much material to sieve in to get right material to be of that standard of Halsbury of England.

India being a common law country like the UK, it has to work on that basis of rule of law if not our rule of law index further could collapse lower than 58 level.

statutes are not really worth the time spent in making such irrelevant statutes as most statutes are made like in fits and starts not real jurisprudential dimensions ; jurisprudence surfaces on the basis of erudition of good and very good judges of constitutional courts.

Many platinum years might role by unless armed with powerful jurisprudential mechanics platinums make no sense at all. see sirs every time the courts or tribunals are seized with similar cases from departmental side shows the government really do not understand its role as a right governing agency, but it is wasting hard earned taxpayers moneys in wasting on irrelevant litigation…you could have seen or observed if you scan through the cases since 1950s till 2015 , what is the use sirs!

i am sad, we are not getting talented persons to man posts in spite of very big salary packets are given from the tax payers hard earned moneys.

politicians salaries as ministers or MPs or MLAs are growing astronomically, besides their perks, they do not even take pool cars to their offices like supreme court judges do recently . My congratulations to the supreme court judges.

ministers also should and must do tale pool cars, as they do not travel by bi-cycles as in Europe, it is shameful for a poor country to spend on these politicians.

If they do not realize to rectify their ways, people should tell them in strict terms like in general elections, tell them spend frugally peoples money, if you want to be flamboyant spend from your own pockets, certainly not from peoples taxes funds.

i am sorry to say this, but i have to now in this kind of occasion like platinum jubilees .

i have been seeing india since shri MK Gandhi, our father of the Nation what we learnt i think absolutely nothing.

Nehru also failed miserably; so too many others thereafter in the indian polity.

Sir, I agree with you fully. Very pertinent issues have been raised by you . It is time to walk the talk. Repetitive and fruitless litigation has clogged the already overburdened judicial system leading to delay in ” getting ” justice and consequent frustration . Though the rule in dealing with public finances is to use the same care and discretion in using public money as you would do with your private money , this is hardly followed in practice. Perhaps a person like Hri Arvind Kejiwal, CM Delhi can bring some change as he says he would not spare his own son for corrupt activities. Of course the judiciary especially CJI,SC has to be applauded for taking public centric steps. central govt is also trying to leverage technology to provide better services and reduce corruption. Let’s hope for better days as these steps will show results in time but public patience is running out.
